Dr. Ana Slavec, InnoRenew CoE researcher, attended the 2nd meeting of the Cost Action CA22156 Transformations international Experience and Research network for Sustainable futures (TransformERS), held 10-11 June 2024 in Riga, Latvia.

The meeting was organised by Riga Stradinš University and focused on the topic of transformations in the food sector. The meeting started with the Management committee gathering, followed by a general meeting with guest lecturers from Latvia that presented cases of changes in the food system. Later, the work group meetings took place. Dr. Ana Slavec is a member of third working group that is focusing on current transformations.

Participants also visited the Aganskalns market and the Riga Central Market where they looked for signs of sustainability transformations. Afterwards they met to bring together what was discussed across the working groups and held the second part of the Management committee meeting.

The aim of the CA22156 Cost Action is to inform research, policy and practice for transformations that deliver justice in a changing global context by brining together and positioning research relevant to societal transformation.
