Dr. Jakub Sandak and Dr. Ondřej Dvořáček, InnoRenew CoE researchers, hosted partners of the Single item identification for forest production, protection and management (SINTETIC) project.

They meet in order to discuss about the project activities and development. Additionally, representatives from the Swedish company Otmetka, one of the SINTETIC project partners, discussed with the InnoRenew CoE researchers about advancing the wood industry. Otmetka is dedicated to developing a groundbreaking wood logs marking system for enhancing wood processing. The collaborative mission is to equip the harvester processor head with state-of-the-art smart sensorics systems.

The core objective of SINTETIC is to set up and demonstrate a traceability system for trees, logs and boards based on state-of-the-art ICT through a central Geodatabase covering the whole forest-based value chain.
