Dr. Erwin M. Schau, Dr. Balázs Dávid, Dr. Jaka Gašper Pečnik, Dr. Črtomir Tavzes, and Eva Prelovšek Niemelä, InnoRenew CoE researchers, together with Dr. Igor Gavrić from Element5 Limited Partnership, Dr. Iztok Šušteršič from Modular Timber d.o.o., and Dr. David B. DeVallance from Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania, recently published a scientific paper »Modelling the Slovenian Wood Industry’s Response to the Greenhouse Gas Paris Agreement and the EU “Fit for 55” Green Transition Plan«, in the Sustanability journal special issue Life Cycle Thinking and Sustainability Assessment of Buildings.
In the article authors present a new model to increase the understanding of the wood products’ (throughout the forest-based industrial ecosystem) potential contribution to reaching the emissions targets. This paper offers a comprehensive analysis of diverse optimisation outcomes obtained from the investigation into climate action through the use of wood products in Slovenia.
