Dr. Ana Slavec, InnoRenew CoE researcher and consulting statistician, attended the first meeting of the Council of the Slovenian Open Science Community, held at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.
InnoRenew CoE is a member of this community that connects Slovenian institutions in realising the goals related to the promotion and development of Open Science in Slovenia in line with European and international initiatives, in particular the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). It strives to co-design strategic documents that are in line with the European perspective of open science development and one of its main tasks is to establish a trustworthy environment for access of Slovenian researchers to research results and interoperable services.
At the meeting Miro Pušnik from the Central technical library, University of Ljubljana presented the project SPOZNAJ about the introduction of principles of open science in public research organisations in Slovenia, and Maja Bogataj Jančič from the Intellectual Property Institute discussed about the EU legislative and regulatory framework on copyright and data from the European Research Area policy program. Following Peter Sterle from the Science Directorate of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, spoke about the Action Plan for Open Science and the Resolution on the Scientific Research and Innovation Strategy of Slovenia 2030.
