Tim Mavrič, InnoRenew CoE assistant researcher, became a member of ICOMOS Slovenia, a national association for monuments and sites. The association is a branch of the International ICOMOS, the central organization for the protection of immovable cultural heritage and an advisory body to UNESCO.

ICOMOS members are experts in conservation and the sciences that are an integral part of the profession.

“Membership in ICOMOS is on, one hand, a recognition of my work in the field of research and conservation of cultural heritage, and, on the other hand, it is a strong incentive for my work in the future as I will be able to be much more involved in current professional debates through the activities of the association, and I will have many more opportunities for professional engagement at national and international levels,” said Mavrič.
