Dr. Jakub Sandak, InnoRenew CoE researcher, together with G. Picchi from the Institute of Bioeconomy of the National Research Council (CNR-IBE), S. Grigolato from the University of Padua, P. Panzacchi from the Free University of Bolzano-Bozen and R. Tognetti from the University of Molise, published “Smart Harvest Operations and Timber Processing for Improved Forest Management”, a book chapter in Climate-Smart Forestry in Mountain Regions.

“Climate-smart forestry must rely on smart harvesting equipment and techniques for a reliable and effective application. In the chapter authors present the role of sensors and digital information technologies in forestry and the development of intelligent forest machines which can help to improve forest harvesting operations towards being more sustainable.“

The book was published by Springer.
