InnoRenew CoE researchers at the Hungarian Operations Research conference

The Hungarian Operations Research conference took place from 31 August to 2 September 2021 in Cegléd, Hungary.

Dr Balázs Dávid and László Hajdu, InnoRenew CoE researchers, attended the conference and presented their recent research work. Dr Dávid spoke about scheduling a plywood manufacturing facility, while Hajdu presented community-based reduction methods for influence maximization problems.

Dr Miklós Krész, InnoRenew CoE ICT research group leader, also joined the conference and talked about the infection monitoring problem.

“It was a successful conference in terms of networking and a good opportunity to get to know each other and start possible collaborations,” Hajdu said.

After the conference, Dr Dávid and Dr Krész continued their business trip to visit the University of Pécs and meet with partners working on the bilateral project “Development of multi-objective optimisation algorithms for the design of buildings”.
