Wood4Bauhaus first virtual conference

Dr Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, will moderate few sessions at the “The New European Bauhaus: How can the wood sector engage, contribute and co-create?”, Wood4Bauhaus’s first virtual conference to be held on 8 April 2021.

The keynote speech will be delivered by Professor Hans-Joachim Schellnhuber, who has recently been named as an ambassador to the New European Bauhaus High-level Roundtable.

Conference speakers will raise awareness about the transformative power of the circular economy and explain how innovative wood products and building systems can play an important role in it. They will also discuss how the wood sector can and should engage in the New European Bauhaus.

Following European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s speech about the New European Bauhaus and wood’s role in transforming the built environment into a carbon sink, the European wood-based sector launched the Wood Sector Alliance for the New European Bauhaus (Wood4Bauhaus) to establish an open platform that connects its stakeholders. Wood4Bauhaus aims to become an active partner in the New European Bauhaus, and this conference is its first initiative.

The virtual conference is free of charge, and everyone is welcome to register to learn more about how the wood sector can contribute to the New European Bauhaus.
