Dr Andreja Kutnar and Dr Erwin M. Schau visited the University of Graz as part of the bilateral project “Innovation activities of Austrian and Slovenian companies in the wood-value chain”, which seeks to compare innovation activities between Slovenian and Austrian companies in the wood sector to better explain why Slovenian companies are lagging.

Dr Kutnar and Dr Schau participated in a Science Talk organized by the university to present the changing role of life cycle assessment (LCA) in the built environment, with a special focus on wood and other bio-based materials.

They also met with Professor Tobias Stern and discussed several possibilities for collaboration.
