Ministry of Education, Science and Sport visited the InnoRenew CoE complex construction site

On Monday, 31 August 2020, a delegation from the Republic of Slovenia’s Ministry of Education, Science and Sport visited the University of Primorska (UP), one of the four co-founders of InnoRenew CoE. The visit was attended by Dr Jure Gašparič, State Secretary, Dr Jana Javornik, Acting Director-General at the Higher Education Directorate, Iztok Žigon, Director at the Investments Directorate, Dr Tomaž Boh, Director-General at the Science Directorate and mag. Tanja Vertelj, Head of Service for the Implementation of Cohesion Policy.

The visit included a meeting to discuss UP’s investments and plans for future development of educational and research work. Ministry representatives also met with Dr Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director.

Together, Ministry representatives and Dr Kutnar visited the InnoRenew CoE complex construction site in Livade (Izola, Slovenia). Dr Kutnar presented InnoRenew CoE’s activities over its nearly four years of operation, with special emphasis on investment activities and state-of-the-art laboratory equipment. At the construction site, Ministry representatives also met with Eva Prelovšek Niemelä, InnoRenew CoE architect, to learn more about current activities on the construction site and future plans for the construction of what will be the largest wooden building in Slovenia.
