On Tuesday, 15 September 2020, the official opening of the Charm of Wood 2020 traveling exhibition took place in Armerija at the University of Primorska.
Dr Klavdija Kutnar, University of Primorska rector, welcomed everyone and expressed her pleasure that the university is hosting this exhibition for the fourth consecutive year and highlighted that wood has a very important place at the University of Primorska.
Danilo Anton Ranc, Director-General of the Wood Industry Directorate, pointed out that the Directorate supports the development of wood-related activities and promotes wood as material through events such as this.
“Two very important natural materials that we have in Slovenia meet at the University of Primorska and InnoRenew CoE – wood and sea,” he said.
Dr Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, also addressed the guests.
“It is crucial that we are bold, that we dare to go in the direction of innovative use of wood and combine different skills,” she said. “In this way, we will bring wood to the place where it once was.”
