In Maribor a conference about open science and open research data, Open Science 2019, took place on 14-15 November 2019. Following this event was a workshop on this topic for researchers.

Dr Ana Slavec, consulting statistician at the InnoRenew CoE, attended the conference and presented how to manage research data from the renewable materials and products field. She attended several workshops about open science and FAIR data.

After the workshop, Dr Slavec had a presentation as the Research Data Alliance (RDA) ambassador for Engineering/Renewable Materials where she explained to participants the possibilities of involvement with Research Data Alliance (RDA).

This was her fourth visit as RDA ambassador for Engineering/Renewable Materials, after the FCBA institute in France in September, the Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems at Aalto University in Finaland in October and the Department of Wood Science and Technology at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology at Mendel University in Czech Republic in November.
