KLH, an Austrian wood products company, developed its cross-laminated timber (CLT) with the Technical University of Graz (Austria) in 1996.

Dr Iztok Šušteršič, research group leader for the InnoRenew CoE’s Sustainable Building with Renewable Materials group, and Dr David DeVallance, research group leader for the InnoRenew CoE’s Renewable Materials Composites group, recently visited KLH and met with its managing director, Johannes Habenbacher.

During the meeting, Habenbacher presented KLH, its operations and discussed possibilities for future cooperation, either in preparation of joint project proposals or directly through services the InnoRenew CoE can provide.

Dr Šušteršič and Dr DeVallance also toured KLH’s CLT production facilities and agreed that the next meeting will take place at the InnoRenew CoE offices in Koper (Slovenia).
