InnoRenew CoE at the Adriatic Wood Days in Dubrovnik, Croatia

4.12.2017 – 5.12.2017

The Adriatic Wood Conference took place in the historic city of Dubrovnik in Croatia. Researchers, Dr Črtomir Tavzes, Dr Jan Weckendorf, Dr Georgios Bekas, Dr Ana Slavec, and Amy Simmons, presented our research centre of excellence.

The conference was dived into four thematically related conferences in the field of forestry, wood processing, energy from wood, furniture production and creative industries. It was attended by experts from business, academia, politics, and the media from different countries.

All five representatives of InnoRenew CoE gave presentations on the topic of open RDI; opening new markets for an increased use of wood construction; artificial intelligence and optimization in timber construction; the use of social network analysis; and the successful funding story of InnoRenew CoE and the possible collaboration with us through Living Lab activities.

Moreover, at the event they had discussions about the best opportunities for collaboration with representatives of several wood-related manufacturing companies, and the woodworking clusters of both Croatia and Herzegovina.
