Czech researcher completes short-term scientific mission with InnoRenew CoE

20 October – 10 November 2017

InnoRenew CoE continues with fostering research visits from all around the word. At the end of October, we were very happy to host Dr Jiří Kunecký. He came from the Czech Academy of Science  to complete a short-term scientific mission in the framework of the COST Action FP1407, and he spent with us 3 weeks.

The main purpose of his research visit was to advance knowledge in the field of creep behaviour of modified wood. This led to the development of a numerical model of the behaviour, new methodologies, and knowledge for the preparation of further studies. The mentioned development can be used to predict the specimen response when tested in different loading types and help designers of wood products with modified wood produce high quality and reliable components.

We are looking forward to future visits.
