Amina Selmanović is an assistant researcher in the Materials department at the InnoRenew CoE, and a PhD student of Renewable Materials for Healthy Built Environments, at the Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies, University of Primorska.
She completed her studies at the University of Bihać, Faculty of Biotechnology, majoring in Forestry. She obtained a master’s degree in forest management from the same university. In her master’s research she focused on the use of geoinformation technologies in optimizing processes within extraction of forest management units.
While at the university, she worked as a teaching assistant, responsible for the preparation and implementation of the practical part of three courses – Forest Harvesting, Health and Safety in Forest Operations, and Forest Management. Simultaneously, she worked as a forestry engineer at “UNSKO-SANSKE ŠUME” d.o.o., in the sector of preparation and production. Later she moved to Zagreb and worked as an engineer analysing and preparing LED lighting projects and their incorporation into IoT.
In her free time Amina tries to stay active in sports, enjoys good food, and whenever she travels, she prefers visiting her hometown of Bihać.
