Dr. Anna Sandak, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM Materials research group leader, participated in the kick-off meeting of the new COST Action CA25136 Intelligent Soft Materials via Chemical Feedback Control at Materials Interfaces (INFORMat), held 28 September 2026 in Brussels, Belgium.
INFORMat brings together European experts to establish core principles for intelligent soft materials. While it is still unclear how to instill materials intelligence, feedback and self-regulation are recognized as crucial steps in developing stimuli-responsive materials toward intelligent, life-like materials.
By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, INFORMat will serve as a training ground for young researchers and innovators, widening participation and supporting the development of a cohesive generation of innovators in the emerging field of intelligent materials.
