Dr. Andreja Kutnar, department chair of InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM, gave a webinar titled “Adhesives Supporting the Ambitions of the New European Bauhaus”.

In the webinar, Dr. Kutnar presented current developments and new applications of wood and forest products. She highlighted the expected sharp increase in global demand for forest and non-wood forest products by 2050 and presented examples of innovative wood applications, including skyscrapers, radical new wood types and transparent and compressed wood. She also presented examples of innovative developments in wood and wood-based materials, highlighting their potential for new applications.

Dr. Kutnar also presented the New European Bauhaus (NEB) and the NEB Academy, whose mission is to train, upskill and reskill the construction ecosystem to achieve a carbon-neutral building sector and a beautiful, sustainable and inclusive transformation of the built environment.
