Richard Acquah, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM researcher, attended the 22nd Annual Meeting of the Northern European Network for Wood Science and Engineering (WSE 2026), held 15–16 September 2026 in Riga, Latvia.

Richard Acquah presented research entitled “Integrating Environmental Exposure and Timber Service Life Performance Modelling into BIM Workflows”. The presentation introduced a BIM-integrated approach for modelling localized environmental exposure on timber façades. The research demonstrated how environmental exposure data can be incorporated into Building Information Modelling (BIM) workflows to support the assessment of timber service life and weather-induced colour change.

The WSE 2026 conference brought together researchers and experts in wood science and engineering from across Northern Europe and beyond. The annual meeting aims to promote the professional development of early career researchers and strengthen collaboration and contacts between research groups working in the field of wood science and engineering.
