The WoodStock project has opened a grant call to support SMEs, start-ups, non-profit organisations and consortia working on innovative solutions that make better use of underutilised wood in construction. Selected projects will develop and test these solutions beyond Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 5.

Four selected projects will each receive up to 50,000 EUR to test, validate and scale innovative zero-waste solutions in real-world contexts. Supported activities can include demonstration and prototyping, testing and validation, co-creation with local actors and users, training and skills development, and dissemination.

The call is open from 15 September 2026 until 15 December 2026 at 17:00 CET. Full information on eligibility, funding conditions, application requirements and call documents is available on the WoodStock Grants webpage.

InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM is one of the WoodStock partners, and it leads activities related to human health and well-being, the European Wood Construction Observatory (EWCO) and the New European Bauhaus (NEB) Lab. InnoRenew CoE is developing knowledge on the health and social benefits of wood-based built environments, establishing an open-access European observatory for wood construction, and hosting one of the project’s six Living Labs.

The selected projects will contribute to advancing innovative approaches to the use of underutilised wood in construction.
