Dr. Andreja Kutnar, department chair of InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM, participated in the BIOEAST Slovenia–Croatia Pitching Event 2026, held on 10 September 2026 in Portorož.

Organised within the BIOEAST initiative and the BOOST4BIOEAST project, the event brought together innovators, researchers, business representatives, and policymakers from Slovenia and Croatia. The event was also attended by Velislav Žvipelj, State Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture.

Five selected solutions addressed topics including the valorisation of agri-food side streams, circular products, advanced agricultural technologies, and bioeconomy education.

Dr. Kutnar participated in the panel discussion “From Innovation to Value Chains: What Does It Take to Build a Stronger Circular Bioeconomy?”, exploring how knowledge, resources, and innovation can be transformed into practical solutions and stronger regional value chains.

The winner of the pitching competition will receive support through BOOST4BIOEAST to participate in the “Pitch Perfect Matchmaking & Networking Event 2026” in Brussels.
