Dr. Matthew Schwarzkopf has been appointed Full Professor in the field of Wood Science.

He explored how hands-on learning and curiosity about natural systems had shaped his professional development and scientific interests. Tracing his path from forestry and wood composites to sustainable built environments, he highlighted his professional mission: to foster industrial agricultural practices and the use of natural resources that prioritize sustainability, biodiversity, and ecosystem health while meeting the needs of a growing population.
