The InnoRenew CoE International Conference 2026 (IRIC2026) will take place 5–6 November 2026, at the InnoRenew CoE building, in Izola, Slovenia. The registration is now open and possible until 15 October 2026.

The keynote speaker will be Gijs Bruggink, general manager and regeneration expert at the Dutch eco-architecture firm ORGA. He is a Living Future Accredited Professional and currently leads the research team behind the Wood & Wellbeing report on the health benefits of building with timber. At IRIC2026, he will present his work on wood construction, biophilic design and healthy living and working spaces.

IRIC2026 will provide a forum to explore renewable materials and their use in creating healthy and sustainable buildings, with a special emphasis on supporting the career development of PhD students and early career researchers.

The conference will feature six thematic sessions:

• Health
• Materials
• Other related topics

Contributions related to these topics, as well as other relevant topics, are welcome. IRIC2026 provides an opportunity to share and discuss emerging research and innovations in renewable materials and their use in creating healthy and sustainable buildings.

In addition to the scientific sessions, IRIC2026 will host workshops on the responsible use of artificial intelligence and citizen science, as well as networking activities and scientific presentation sessions. More information about these activities will be provided soon.
