Public voting is now open for the WoodPoP Dara People’s Choice Award 2026

The European Wood Policy Platform (WoodPoP) has announced the launch of the WoodPoP Dara Hall of Fame and the opening of public voting for the WoodPoP Dara People’s Choice Award 2026. The Hall of Fame showcases 59 nationally recognised timber projects from 22 countries, celebrating excellence, innovation, sustainability, and the transformative potential of wood in the built environment.

The WoodPoP Dara Award is a European recognition initiative that celebrates outstanding achievements in timber architecture and engineering. Rather than being a traditional competition, the Award aims to raise awareness of wood as a sustainable construction material and showcase exemplary projects that demonstrate how timber can help address today’s climate, housing, and societal challenges while creating beautiful, healthy, and innovative built environments.

The inaugural edition of the Award includes projects across four categories: residential buildings, non-residential buildings, infrastructure, and renovations or extensions. All projects have been assessed by the NEB Alliance using the New European Bauhaus (NEB) Compass framework, demonstrating a particularly strong alignment with the NEB value of sustainability.

The projects featured in the WoodPoP Dara Hall of Fame provide an inspiring overview of the current state of timber construction across the Pan-European region and showcase wood’s potential to support climate action, circularity, innovation, and high-quality living environments.

Everyone is invited to explore the Hall of Fame and cast a vote for the WoodPoP Dara People’s Choice Award 2026. Each person may vote once, and voting is open until 30 September 2026.

The first awardees will be announced during the WoodPoP Dara Award ceremony on 26 November 2026 in Prague, Czechia.
