InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM at the SUSCHEME–SUSTENS 2026 Conference

A researcher from InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM attended the SUSCHEME–SUSTENS 2026 conference, organized under the auspices of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE) and co-hosted by SUSTENS2, held 28-30 June in Athens, Greece.

Amina Selmanović, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM researcher, delivered a presentation titled “Assessment of Deep Eutectic Solvents-based Ultrasound-assisted Extraction of Tropical Wood Residues”. In the presentation, she focused on approaches for the sustainable valorisation of tropical wood residues using natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES) and ultrasound-assisted extraction.

For her work, she received one of the two Best Oral Presentation Awards presented at the conference.

The SUSCHEME–SUSTENS 2026 conference brought together researchers and experts in sustainable chemistry and engineering, with a focus on advancing environmentally friendly processes, materials, and technologies, and fostering collaboration between academia and industry in support of more sustainable and circular systems.
