InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM participated at the BAUHALPS local informative-consultative day and stakeholder workshop, held on 18 June 2026 at the Museum of Architecture and Design (MAO) – Fužine Castle in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The event was organised by the Museum of Architecture and Design (MAO), the Centre for Creativity (CzK) and the Technology Park Ljubljana (TPLJ) as part of the pilot activities of the BAUHALPS project (Interreg Alpine Space).
The BAUHALPS project supports the transition towards a circular economy in the Alpine region by applying the principles of the New European Bauhaus (NEB). The Info Day brought together representatives from public institutions, local communities, education, research and professional sectors to exchange perspectives and contribute to the future development of the pilot area.
During the workshop participants discussed possible development scenarios for MAO and Fužine Castle, including spatial and programme transformation, the future of the museum’s permanent exhibition and the potential use of additional spaces. Aleksandra Rakinić Vidmar, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM architect, participated in a working group that explored possibilities for expanding the project space into the attic areas of Fužine Castle, where discussions also highlighted the potential of laboratories for the applied use of sustainable materials and the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration.
The event provided a platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration and co-creation among stakeholders. InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM contributed to BAUHALPS by supporting sustainable and circular approaches connected to the built environment and the values of the New European Bauhaus.
