Yesterday marked the beginning of the Alpine Europe: Innovation in the Circular Economy Summer School 2026, bringing together students from the University of Primorska, Oregon State University, Saarland University and partner institutions for two weeks of learning, collaboration and cultural exchange.
The first day included a guided tour of Ljubljana, where participants explored the city’s rich history, culture and architecture. The tour was led by Dr. Črtomir Tavzes, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM researcher, who introduced the group to Slovenia’s capital and its unique heritage.
The participants were accompanied by Dr. Andreja Kutnar, department chair of InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM and Dr. Mohammad Derikvand, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM researcher.
Led by faculty from the University of Primorska and Oregon State University (USA), the Summer School is organised by UP FAMNIT, UP IAM and the NEBAP Hub in collaboration with Oregon State University.
We look forward to an inspiring programme of lectures, field visits, practical workshops and new international connections!
