Dr. Andreja Kutnar among speakers at the NEB Festival 2026 in Brussels

Dr. Andreja Kutnar, department chair of InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM, participated as a speaker at the New European Bauhaus Festival 2026, taking place in Brussels.

She participated in the discussion about “NEB Academy: How the NEB learns, tests, and scales,” together with Dr. Manuel Götzendörfer, Managing Director of the Built Environment at Unternehmer TUM GmbH and Ambra Trotto, Director of Transformation and NEB, at EIT Culture and Creativity.

In the discussion they explored the evolving role of the NEB Academy as a key driver of innovation within the NEB, and  highlighted how the Academy is developing connections, tools, and mechanisms to ensure that knowledge generated is channelled into skills development, capacity building, and applied innovation. It also addressed how research can be translated into skills, skills into experimentation, and experimentation into scalable innovative solutions.

Dr. Kutnar’s participation at the festival further strengthens the visibility of the University of Primorska’s research in the field of sustainable construction.
