InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM hosted University of Primorska’s Staff Week 2026

InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM hosted University of Primorska’s Staff Week 2026, titled Health and Well-being at HEIs, held 23–27 March 2026.

The programme focused on promoting physical and mental health, active lifestyles and supportive academic environments, while also providing opportunities for networking and collaboration.

Dr. Kaja Kastelic, Dr. Mike Burnard and Dr. Črtomir Tavzes, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM researchers, also actively participated in the programme, leading interactive workshops and a tour that provided participants with practical insights.

Dr. Kastelic presented an interactive workshop on achieving a healthy balance around the clock, encouraging participants to move more, while Dr. Burnard led a workshop on human health in the built environment, engaging participants with practical insights on how design and architecture can support well-being.

 

 

Finally, Dr. Tavzes led a tour of and gave a presentation about InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM. Participants gained insights into innovative approaches in sustainable building and material science.

The event was organized as a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), offering participants practical insights, inspiring discussions and opportunities to connect with colleagues from around the world. The programme covered strategic approaches to workplace well-being, the impact of the built environment and practical ways to support physical and mental health, both at work and beyond.
