The sixth edition of the NEBletter “LET BE WOODEN” from the LIFE BE-WoodEN project is now published.

This issue showcases two pilot projects that explore the future of BE WOODEN: a feasibility study for a sustainable local wood supply chain in Emilia-Romagna and the Liguria pilot project redeveloping public housing with wood. Both initiatives demonstrate innovative uses of natural materials in construction and urban regeneration, engaging professionals, students and local communities.

The Emilia-Romagna study analyzed regional wood species and supply chain potential for social housing, while the Liguria project created inclusive, flexible spaces for seniors using hands-on self-build workshops with students and volunteers. Both projects highlight the New European Bauhaus approach, focusing on sustainability, beauty and human-centered design.
