Today, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM hosted a public lecture by Dr. Julian Eliah Heger. The lecture was held as part of the procedure for Dr. Heger’s first appointment to the academic title of higher education teacher, Assistant Professor in the field of Physics.
He is a postdoctoral researcher at Technical University of Munich (TUM), Chair of Functional Materials, where he develops machine learning models (Python) to analyze complex time-resolved X-ray scattering data. He also contributes as a deputy member of the TUM Sustainability Board and lectures postgraduate courses while advising students.
In his lecture entitled “Understanding Functional Materials Through Synchrotron X-ray Scattering”, Dr. Heger presented research approaches for studying functional materials using advanced synchrotron-based scattering techniques.
This was followed by a tour of the laboratories, led by Dr. Andreja Kutnar, acting department chair of InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM.
