Dr. Ana Slavec, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM researcher, attended the 30th anniversary celebration of the Young Academy of Slovenia, held on 24 November 2025, at the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana.
Dr. Slavec participated as a former member of the society’s board (2015–2019) and as a current member of the supervisory committee. She contributed by sharing insights from interviews she conducted with the first nine presidents of the society. These interviews were used to create a short film showcased during the celebration and will also form the basis of a monograph to be published next year by the UP Press.
Among the honoured guests were Dr. Aleš Musar, the Spouse of the President of Slovenia and one of the founding members of the society and Dr. Jure Gašparič, State Secretary at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.
The event was organized under the patronage of Dr. Nataša Pirc Musar, the President of the Republic of Slovenia and as part of the Science Month, coordinated by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation.
The Young Academy of Slovenia brings together young researchers and academics in Slovenia, providing a platform for collaboration, professional development and the promotion of scientific excellence in higher education and research.
