Dr. Črtomir Tavzes, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM researcher, presented the FurnitureLCA (Empowering furniture companies with life cycle assessment for sustainable practices) project at the InnoRenew CoE employees weekly meeting.

He introduced the project’s main objectives and highlighted its focus on supporting furniture companies in adopting more sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.

The project aims to equip furniture companies with the knowledge and tools to perform life cycle assessments (LCA) and measure environmental impacts through product environmental footprints (PEF) and organization environmental footprints (OEF). It will gather key information and regulations to create a digital knowledge Hub with a digital assistant, supported by a master guide and practical case studies. The project seeks to raise awareness of sustainable practices and help companies integrate LCA into everyday design and production.
