NewWave project meeting

Dr. Jakub Sandak, Dr. Wojciech Pajerski and Dr. Anna Sandak, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM researches, attended the NewWave project meeting, held 6-7 November 2025, in Windisch, Switzerland.

The NewWave project supports the transition to a circular economy by adapting manufacturing lines to replace fossil-based materials with sustainable, bio-based resources. InnoRenew CoE coordinates the work package 6 – Manufacturing line for wood modification, focusing on developing and testing new bio-based formulations for wood protection and durability.

During the two-day meeting, InnoRenew CoE researchers led activities within the Manufacturing line for wood modification work package and presented their work in the Market assessment, business development and exploitation work package. In addition, they contributed to discussions within other work packages, focusing on the development of manufacturing lines for polymers and engineered wood composites, sustainability approaches and life-cycle assessments, as well as on communication, dissemination of results and project coordination.

Through their research work, they contribute to advancing innovative and sustainable manufacturing processes within the EU.
