Amina Selmanović at the ENFiber Cost Action kick off meeting

Amina Selmanović, researcher at InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM, attended the kick off meeting and 1st Management Committee meeting of the Cost Action CA24111 European Network for Valorizing Food Processing Waste into Sustainable Fibers (ENFiber), held 23rd September 2025, in Brussels.

Amina is the Management Committee member for Slovenia, and will be contributing to the challenges of food processing waste by transforming it into high-value fibers using innovative and sustainable methods.

This Cost Action meets the environmental and societal demand for waste reduction and circular bio-economy solutions. With food by-products often discarded or underutilized, ENFiber unlocks their potential by promoting scalable green extraction technologies and implementing advanced characterization techniques.
