The program for InnoRenew CoE International Conference 2025 is now published

The InnoRenew CoE International Conference 2025 “From lab to life: innovative solutions for a healthier and greener built environment” (IRIC2025) will take place 16-17 September 2025, in the InnoRenew CoE building, in Izola, Slovenia. The conference provides a forum to explore renewable materials and their use for creating healthy, sustainable buildings.

This year’s keynote speakers are Rebecca Williams and Sumea Klokic.

Rebecca Williams, a public speaking, storytelling, and presentation expert, will present “Crusader or Communicator: Will Science Remember You?”.

Sumea Klokic, researcher in the field of structural and chemical characterization of materials used in sustainable and environmental applications, will present “Bright Beams for a Greener Future: Synchrotron Techniques in Renewable Science”.

IRIC2025 will be structured around five thematic sessions:

  • Information processing
  • Creativity & Society
  • Buildings
  • Health
  • Materials

The IRIC2025 program will be further enriched by three workshops:

  • Rebecca Williams workshop “How to Tell the Story Behind Your Science”,
  • MEZeroE project workshop “Open Innovation Test Bed for Building Envelope Products: How Can Open Innovation Lead to Better Building Envelopes?”,
  • WoodStock project workshop “Living Lab Workshop: Co-development of the European Wood Construction Observatory (EWCO)”.
