At the beginning of this year, Municipality of Izola delivered a festive tree (spruce) to the InnoRenew CoE. This tree, which decorated the roundabout in the city centre of Izola during the holiday season, underwent a sustainable transformation instead of being discarded. Experts at InnoRenew CoE carefully processed the tree, cutting it into pieces and preparing the wood for drying. In the institute’s workshop, they crafted new holiday decorations from the dried wood—wooden festive trees. The festive trees were distributed to Izola’s schools, while the charitable tree was displayed in the lobby of the municipal building and was today handed over to a representative of Gostilna Sonja, the highest donor to the charitable cause.
