Dr. Anna Sandak, InnoRenew CoE Deputy director and head of Materials research department, is among the Guest editors for Forests special issue “Transformation of Wood after Processing and Modification”.
This Special Issue aims to explore the dynamic transformations that wood undergoes postprocessing and postmodification, shedding light on the multifaceted alterations in its properties and characteristics.
Additionally, Dr. Anna Sandak and Dr. Wojciech Pajerski, are guest editors for the special issue “Bioinspired Sensors and Sensing Materials”, in Chemosensors.
This Special Issue is dedicated to exploring biological strategies that have inspired, or have the potential to inspire, the design of new sensors and sensing materials. These designs aim to manage environmental factors, such as humidity, temperature, CO2 level, pressure, precipitation, wind speed and direction, and UV radiation and light, in addition to capturing and filtering pollutants and toxins, among other functionalities.
The deadline for both manuscript submissions is 28 February 2025.
