Today, Dr. Jakub Sandak, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM researcher, welcomed a group of master students from University of Zagreb.
He introduced the research work, placing special emphasis on its interdisciplinary focus on renewable materials and sustainable building practices. Students also had the chance to visit the advanced research laboratories.
After the tour, Dr. Mike Burnard, Dr. Črtomir Tavzes, Dr. Lea Primožič and Špela Vrtovec, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM researches, led a workshop within the European Wood Policy Platform (woodPoP) initiative, focusing on the development of the woodPoP Student Award. The discussion addressed how to make the award more attractive to students, which types of categories would be most engaging (such as challenges, best paper, or best pitch), what the participation requirements should be and how to effectively reach students and raise awareness of the award.
Participants actively contributed ideas and suggestions to support the creation of an appealing and inclusive framework for the initiative across Europe.
