Lara Prah, public relations
I grew up in Krško, Slovenia and now I live in Koper, Slovenia, enjoying the seaside!
I am a second-year bachelor student in Business Secretary. I chose this path because I enjoy organizing tasks, helping people communicate clearly and keeping things running smoothly.
I help our department share its successes and initiatives with the wider public. I make sure our achievements are communicated clearly, positively and in a way that everyone can appreciate.
I like to arrive early at work and start by airing out the office, letting the cold morning air wake me up properly. Then I quickly go through emails and handle urgent tasks, enjoy my coffee while writing news and completing other tasks.
I enjoy seeing a plan come together, especially when I see a successful event or realize that my work has contributed to something positive and meaningful.
The hardest part is juggling multiple tasks at once and figuring out which ones are a priority, so that the most important things get done first.
I am fascinated by creativity in all its forms. I admire anyone who experiments and tries new ideas, much like me with my ever-changing hobbies.
I love music, movies and series of almost every genre, picking whatever feels right for the moment. I also enjoy drawing and reading, although I haven’t taken much time for it lately.
Lately I have been watching the series Single Parents, usually in the background while doing other things. I also enjoy listening to podcasts on a variety of topics whenever I have time.
I love the hidden beaches along the Slovene coast, though I won’t say much about them, so they stay a secret. They are my peaceful spots to relax, think and gather ideas.
I get enthusiastic about new music, good movies, great company, relaxing vacations, animals, coffee and delicious food. Basically, anything that makes life more fun and enjoyable.
I don’t have just one life guidance, but lately the idea that people will always talk has stuck with me. It reminds me to say things that are worth hearing or at least funny enough to make someone smile.
The charm of wood is in its warmth and natural feel. I love how every piece is different, with its own character and how it can make simple things feel special and inspiring.
