Today, InnoRenew CoE organized an educational workshop for 2nd and 3rd grade students from Dekani primary school. In the workshop children got to know main characteristics of wood, its properties and professions related to wood through hands-on activities.

During the workshop students explored different types of wood pieces. Each student selected a piece of wood described it with a single word (e.g., warm, hard, fragrant), sanded it and drew a picture of their choice on it.

Then they looked around the classroom to find wooden objects and drew them. They also connected pictures in a sequence from tree to finished product.

Through short stories about a forester, a carpenter and a musician, children learned how wood is used in different professions and why it is important in everyday life.

At the end of the workshop they played a game of pantomime.

The workshop offered students a practical and creative experience.
