Dr. Wojciech Pajerski, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM researcher, visited the Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and the Dokuz Eylül University in İzmir, as part of an academic visit to strengthen international collaboration in sustainability-oriented materials engineering in Türkiye.

During his visit Dr. Pajerski engaged with students and researchers through laboratory visits, seminars and discussions on integrating sustainability principles into materials engineering. Seminars also addressed InnoRenew’s Engineered Living Materials (ELMs) studies, including projects such as REMEDY (EIC), ARCHI-SKIN (ERC), LIVEMAT and BIOLUMICOAT. In addition, the ELM-focused project portfolio supported by the European Innovation Council (EIC) was presented.

The visit encouraged discussions on future collaboration opportunities at the interface of materials science and sustainability.
