Dr. Mohammad Derikvand together with nine students participated in Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program

Dr. Mohammad Derikvand, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM researcher, together with nine students from InnoRenew CoE and the University of Primorska, participated in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP), titled “Modular Wooden Houses”, held from 17-21 November 2025, and hosted by Thomas More University of Applied Sciences in Geel, Belgium.

The one-week intensive program brought together students and staff from several European universities, including partners from Finland (Novia UAS), Germany (TH Rosenheim), Belgium (Thomas More University) and Slovenia (InnoRenew CoE and University of Primorska). Participants explored how modular timber housing can promote circular, climate-resilient and socially sustainable construction.

 

Students took part in design-thinking workshops, field visits to Ecohuis company and Kamp C, teambuilding activities and project work. They concluded the program by presenting their ideas in short presentations.
