Dr. Ana Slavec, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM researcher, attended the Open science day 2025, held 20-21 November 2025, at the Four Points by Sheraton Ljubljana Mons, as part of the Knowledge Network 2025 conference.

Dr. Slavec delivered the opening remarks, presented the Support for the implementation of open science principles in Slovenia (SPOZNAJ) project and moderated a session showcasing examples of good open science practices.

The first day of the event focused on national perspectives, including implementing open science principles and showcasing good practices. The second day focused on the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Federation and the role of research infrastructures, data centers and supercomputing. The program was also linked to SLING Days (Slovenian Supercomputing Network Days), Slovenia’s main supercomputing event.

The event was organised within the Science month 2025. It brought together national and international experts, policymakers and research support professionals to talk about how open science is helping shape today’s research world.
