Dr. Ana Slavec, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM researcher, attended the Znanost na glas! event, held on 4 November 2025, at Impact Hub Ljubljana.
She participated at the round table discussion »Umetnost komuniciranja raziskovalnih dosežkov v digitalni dobi« and discussed the importance of science communication, emphasizing that science is not an end in itself, but should also have a certain effect. The discussion highlighted the need to strengthen dialogue between science and society and presented practical approaches to help researchers communicate more confidently and clearly with the public.
Special attention was given to ways researchers and experts can make scientific knowledge more accessible in the age of social media, short-form content and generative artificial intelligence. Participants emphasized the importance of effective science communication, adapting complex topics to diverse audiences and the responsible use of new communication tools.
The event brought together researchers, science communicators, students and supporters of open science who share the goal of making science more accessible, understandable and influential in society.
It was organized as part of Science month, a series of activities prepared in autumn by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation (MVZI).
