This year, Dr. Tomaž Pisanski received the Zois Prize for lifetime achievement in the field of discrete mathematics. He was the chair of the habilitation committee at the InnoRenew CoE since its establishment.

He received the award at the ceremonial presentation of the Zois and Puh awards and the Science Ambassador awards, held at Gallus Hall. Through his long scientific and academic work, he has made a significant contribution to the advancement of science and the promotion of knowledge and collaboration.

Congratulations to Dr. Tomaž Pisanski on this prestigious recognition. At InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM, we are grateful for his contribution to the development of the institute.

This year’s Zois Awards and Recognitions, the highest national awards for achievements in the field of scientific research and development in the Republic of Slovenia, and the Puh Awards and Recognitions, the highest national awards for inventions, technological and non-technological developments and the application of scientific findings in all fields of science in the introduction of innovations into economic and social practice, were awarded for the first celebration of the new Slovenian holiday, Science Day.
