Dr. Miklós Krész, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM researcher, attended the event 7. Lekov dan za raziskovalce. The event was held on 14 October 2025, at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Dr. Krész gave a lecture titled “Modeling and analyzing protein complexes by integrating network science and molecular dynamics simulation” and discussed how protein-protein interaction (PPI) networks provide a global, static view of potential protein interactions within a cellular environment, while molecular dynamics (MD) simulations offer detailed, atomic-level insights into how proteins physically interact and change over time. These two methods are usually used separately, but by integrating them, researchers can gain a more complete understanding of protein complexes, connecting large-scale network relationships with precise molecular mechanisms.
The event provided a platform for researchers, academics and industry professionals to share their work in biotechnology, simulation modeling and advanced computational methods. It encouraged discussion and collaboration, strengthening connections between researchers, universities and industry.
