Dr. Andreja Kutnar and Lei Han at the FPS International conference on wood adhesives 2025

Dr. Andreja Kutnar, acting department chair of InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM, and Lei Han, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM researcher, attended the FPS International conference on wood adhesives, held 22-24 October 2025, in Vancouver, Canada.

Dr. Andreja Kutnar was a plenary speaker and presented the topic “Lifelong learning needs in the sector to transform the wood industry to Industry 5.0 – are wood adhesives to lead the path?”. She highlighted the importance of lifelong learning and vocational training in supporting the wood industry’s transition toward Industry 5.0. Her talk also emphasized the role of wood adhesives as both technical and symbolic catalysts for innovation and collaboration.

Lei Han took part at the poster session and presented the topic “Performance of three-layer composites with densified surface layers at elevated temperature”.

The international conference on wood adhesives is a leading event that brings together researchers, industry experts, and academics from around the world to discuss the latest advances in wood adhesive technology.
