Dr. Andreja Kutnar, acting department chair of the InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM, attended the 18th International Technology Conference, held on 8 October 2025, at the Faculty of Management in Koper.

She led the roundtable discussion about Bridging the Gap: Synergizing Science, Research, and Innovation in the New EU Funding Landscape. The discussion focused on connecting research with innovations, EU funding opportunities, bridging gaps in the innovation ecosystem, collaboration between academia and industry and other topics.

The conference focused on bringing together universities and industry as well as helping turn research and ideas into real-world solutions. Conversations revolved around the challenges and opportunities of the new EU funding programs, highlighting the importance of connecting scientific research with innovation. The topics were strengthening spin-out support systems for bridging research, innovation, and policy for a competitive deep tech Europe and enabling research commercialization and sustainable innovation through coordinated EU and national strategies.

Organizers of the 18th edition of the conference include partners from two national consortia of knowledge and technology transfer offices, representing a total of 13 public research organizations.
