The InnoRenew CoE building project has been shortlisted for the Built by Nature Prize 2025!
The prize celebrates responsible timber construction around the world, and is open to completed buildings predominantly made of timber and bio-based materials. The InnoRenew CoE building is among the 28 shortlisted projects, selected from nearly 400 applications across 39 countries and jurisdictions.
All shortlisted projects were assessed against the Principles for Responsible Timber Construction, a global framework to ensure that growing demand for timber is managed responsibly and regeneratively. Six winners and six commendations will be announced at the Built by Nature Summit in London on 16 October.
The InnoRenew CoE building is the largest wooden building in Slovenia and a unique facility for research and innovation in the field of renewable materials and healthy living environments. It was designed by architects Eva Prelovšek Niemelä and Arne Niemelä, together with scientists from InnoRenew CoE, according to verified principles of contemporary sustainable building construction.
Congratulations!
